envelope and redefining a segment by bringing fresh new thought to a category. It’s usually run by a group of free thinkers who are passionate about building a great product. Their
motivation is to change the world and pull off what the naysayers claim isn’t possible. To the outside world, by the time the company breaks through, it might seem that it was an
overnight success or that the company got lucky.
HG Data is one of those companies. Seemingly out of nowhere, a bunch of data wonks in the surfing hamlet of Santa Barbara—better known as a refuge for the wealthy escaping LA than an
epicenter of technology innovation—has become the rage. As much as we’re thrilled that the world is finally beating a path to our door, be forewarned…we’re just
